Olde Beau Golf Club, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Roaring Gap, North Carolina.
Since its grand opening in the fall of 1991, the golf course at Olde Beau has become the focus of reviews from players and publications alike.
Olde Beau was formerly the site of the mountain retreat of Winston Salem Industrialist R.J.Reynolds. The developer, Billy Satterfield, named Olde Beau in honor of his faithful bulldog friend and constant companion
This resort is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation 3,000 feet above sea level. This extremely scenic course was built on hilly terrain and features large trees that can alter shots. There are numerous elevation changes from the tee boxes to the greens, so you can expect many uneven lies.
Named one of the "Top 50 Development Courses in the Southeast" by GOLF WEEK magazine, and PGA Pro Curtis Strange has said that Olde Beau is "one of the greatest mountain courses ever built."
Olde Beau's design, which returns to traditional flat greens with the absence of "blind shots" to the green, makes more than 1,500 feet in elevation changes with the result being a par 72 that measures 6,710 yards from the tips, 6,237 from the middle and 5,652 from the front tees.
The greens are regulation bent grass and the fairways and roughs are a rich blend of bluegrass.
From 6,710 yards the par-72 course rating is 72.0 and the slope rating is 139e Olde Beau golf course opened in 1991. Tommy Maines manages the course as the General Manager.

This is great mountain golf. The layout is good. Some awesome views and a nice mix of open and tight holes to test your game. Some of the spacing between holes (through the development) can be confusing but no homes interfere with the ambiance.
